TexasMom wrote:6509 When I installed Solid Explorer and followed the instructions on the tutorial to pull files out of the root folder to make them useless, I pulled out 3 files - SoAgent, FotaAgent and Wssyncmldm. I then did the S Package Disabler and disabled UrgentFWUpdateTSP (com.samsung.android.firmware.tsp), GalaxyApps(com.sec.android.app.samsungapps), GameLauncher(com.samsung.android.game.gamehome), SecurityLogAgent(com.samsung.android.securitylogagent), com.tmobile.pr.adapt, SamsungPushService(com.sec.spp.push), SoftwareUpdate(com.sec.adnroid.soagent), KnoxAppsUpdateAgent(com.samsung.knox.appsupdateagent), SecurityPolicyUpdates(com.policydm), SoftwareUpdate(com.wssyncmldm) and Lookout(com.lookout). I have been safe since I did this and don't seem to have been hit by the TMobile/Samsung 0% update on 12/2/7/16 but I have not turned on wifi since then so maybe I am not?? Did I pull out one more file than I should have in the Solid Explorer step? Subsequent review of the tutorials indicate that only SOAgent and FotaAgent were to be pulled out of root and I also pulled out Wssyncmldm. Is this going to mess me up when I install the Shield?
I haven't yet installed the Shield. Can anyone determine if I messed up by pulling out the 3 files vs the 2 as I detailed in the post above? Thank you.
Will be attempting to install the Shield Sun 1/15/17 and had wanted to get an answer to my question (above) before doing so. It seems that S Package Disabler has a terminated license, as I have read on some recent posts. How will I know if that is the case with my phone? If I remove SIM card and have airplane mode on as I download the Shield, then enable all S Package Disabler packages, then install the Shield while quickly enabling wifi to log in and then back off again, will I be safe even if my package Disabler app has a terminated license? I really need this to work. I am so mad at Samsung. I have no intention of giving them back my phone but I am just about ready to throw this phone out of a window because of all the flack I am getting from my 3 kids, husband and everybody it seems except the kind and generous people on N7A.

@texasmom I would ensure you have updates disabled for anything other than wifi, this way when you enable and disable packages during the switch you won't initiate an update because it won't have a wifi connection to download it.

Oh my goodness!! Note7Alliance Thank You!! I installed the Shield and it says Shields Up. I took out my sim card so now I will put it back in. Wifi is on so let's see what happens... (clock ticking) Sim in, wifi on, no update. As Catwoman says, I am golden. Anything changes, you will be the first to know. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
