Sprint Note 7. Was on version N930PVPU1APH9. This is the version just before the green battery update. I have been saying "Later" to that update since September I guess. I put my phone in my pocket. When I pulled it out I see "Initializing software update". I'm not sure if I accidentally hit "Install Now" or what. It finished and I am now on N930PVPU2APHE. I then notice that it is downloading the next update which would be the 60% one I assume, but can't be sure. I popped in to Airplane mode to stop it. I hope that it won't install automatically, but again I can't be sure.
What's the status on the shield? Thanks!

Thank you. I installed it but I have a red shield. I was able to pause the update that was halfway installed though. I have to go to a meeting for an hour, but should I ask questions here on this thread or somewhere else? Thanks again.

Install it, grant device admin -- then hit the "shield disabled" graphic and initiate turning it on:
- it will prompt you to install 'software update' packages and fake packages. INSTALL THEM! that's the shield patching the original ones.
Once you install the packages the shield prompts, it should turn to green.

Shields-Up! And the notification of the partially downloaded update went away. So we are looking good I'd say. Thanks again!
I have gotten a few pop-ups that "Unfortunately Software Updates have Stopped." We'll see if they stop happening.
