Canadian Note 7 (W8) Service block. Any solution?

Hi All. Forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
I still have my N7 sitting and unable to use it. Has there been any success on the Canadian side to get the phone unblocked and working on a network again?
Ive been following this thread since the beginning of this forum but nothing new in there" CARRIER BLOCK: IMEI# Changing Research (ethically for R&D)"
