I installed the Hydra Rom in my N7 F930 (carrier: CLARO) before learning about the Alliance. I have 3 questions,
1. am I protected from any Samsung update that could brick or limit my phone with this ROM?
2. Is there any advantage in using the Hydra vs the stock ROM?
3. If I go back to the stock ROM, what should I do to secure the phone will work, and which steps/instructions of this forum should I follow?

To answer your questions:

1. Normally, no one with using a custom ROM (like Hydra) will ever get again a vendor's update. You can only update the custom ROM to a newer version of the same, if provided, or flash another ROM. However, as always with IT stuff: You are never safe to 100%, a residual risk, especially for bricking (as you are rooted), is always there, BUT:

2. You have a lot of advanges with Hydra: You can use mighty tools, like Titanium Backup. With this for example, you can make full backups of your phone, including all data (chats, gaming scores etc.) and also freeze (block) unwanted apps and packages. Hydra is already debloated, so you don't have useless stuff from providers.
The only disadvantage can be, that KNOX counter ist set to 0x1, so you loose usage of secure folder. You can use private mode instead.

3. For what reason to go back to stock ROM? You won't get any useful updates for this, only bricking ones and need additional measures to protect from them.
KNOX is already set to 0x1, there is no way back, even if you flash stock again.
if you Nevertheless decide to do so, the way to do depends from the release you had before.
