I installed the Smart Switch via link. I set my phone to backup last night but when I finally got back to it, it was stuck at 100% but never finished. When I tried to backup again, a message appeared asking me to update the app.
These Samsung people are some sneaky bastards. I want to use the newest but inside the older app received from this forum there is an item in settings with a checkbox to pre-download updates.
Should install the new updated software? what is the possibility they are using this update to somehow undo the shield?
I'm fairly certain they have their programmers working on a work around for the alliance shield. They want every trace of their embarrassment wiped away.
Anybody else having their backup freeze at 100%? Mine says backing up video's but never completes. I will uncheck videos if possible. 3rd try a charm, right?

I dont know what is wrong with this smart switch app. It got to 100% before but never finished. said it was stuck on videos so I didnt choose videos. then in got to 97% and got stuck on pictures, so I didn't choose pictures, Now its stuck on 97% and documents. I cannot do a backup using this software.
Any suggestions would be great. could it be the shield? could it be the s package disabler? HELP!
I want to reset my phone to get 100% battery and lose all those stupid messages.

Sorry, forgot to say that I had taken out both the mem card and sim prior to the backup. I was following instructions on here verbatim. I started the backup 3 hours ago and it is still hung at 97%

You can move all your stuff over from the sd card via pc or your note . Then when your done all your backup data will be on the sd card.. You can access your phones data when its plugged into the computer ,just drag and drop to a storage device. Sd card ,flash drive ,or whatever.

For some reason, my note 7 is not even detecting smart switch idk. I might be with the update disablers.
