[Split]: Issues with logging into shield

Cannot see your login try in the logs. So far there was no connection to our servers. Maybe sth. is blocking it, maybe the firewall?

So i uninstalled and reinstalled but still get the same error. I checked the firewall and ive attached a screenshot of what is trying to access my phone. I do not believe this is the Shield trying to get access.. please let me know what you think because Im thinking it is Samsung based on some of those file names.. or maybe i am just paranoid but i do not want to grant access..

Have the same fw, and YES this is all silly stuff from samsung. But theres Knox inside, for me to work with the shield it was necessary to temp. disable the firewall or allow all of this sh*t. You'll need full connection only for the short proc of login and enable admin / accept knox terms

Well im giving up for the night.. its late here in the states.
I appreciate the assistance, im not sure what the heck im doing wrong. I took your advice and disabled the firewall temporarily but with no luck. I then uninstalled the app and tried again.. but same result saying incorrect username and password. I know its the right password because its the same i use to log into the forum. The odd thing is that it says the error before i finish typing... then it says "checking" and after returns the same error. I give up for the night..
At least.. im "thinking" the firewall for now should prevent that damn update until i can figure this install out.. hopefully?

@pong: I too, do not see you in the N7AS server logs. I would remove the firewall and un-do whatever that is currently doing and uninstall it. Secure yourself with the shield, and then re-install your firewall to ensure that it's not being blocked.

Well still no luck.. i completely removed the firewall from my phone and restarted. Once i did i got the fun love note from Samsung asking if I wanted to install the update at this time (1st time ive gotten that). I then uninstalled the Shield app, reinstalled, and attempted to login... but with the same results. I am out if ideas... should i perhaps try an older version of the Shield? I did try using with wi-fi as well as my providers data connection but same ending either way.
Im going to put the firewall back up in the time being...

Whatever you did worked! I did not realize you had reset my password because I got locked out of the site once that took place(you cannot read posts when you are not logged in apparently). I then went back to the Shield app and tried logging in there with my original password(not knowing it had been changed) which is probably why the log shows me using the wrong one today but nothing yesterday. So i chose the lost password option, waited for the new password.. and bingo it works now! I guess just you resetting it fixed the issue.. thank you very much Aztec! Im finally in...

i know you mentioned you have the same firewall.. do you use that in conjunction with the Shield? Just curious because it seems to use a lot of battery. Either way, id much rather have to recharge my phone more often then to lose the ability to charge at all..

I may have spoken too soon unfortunately.. the login is great and Shield app is open. However, once i enable admin.. i get an "invalid license" error. Any ideas on what may be causing that...
